          Is fast food the new tobacco?   While fast food is undoubtedly addictive to a degree; it’s by no means comparable to tobacco. Tobacco has nicotine in it, this the driving factor behind the addiction. While fast food can be hard to put down, it isn’t outright addictive.Yes, because of its strategic marketing and convenience; fast food has become the primary food source for many. But cigarettes/tobacco are a completely different ball park.   As someone that has a loved one who’s a heavy smoker, I feel that I have firsthand experience with the subject matter. To a smoker; cigarettes are their air, they need it to keep living. Their body becomes dependent on it. It provides entertainment, while also giving us a glimpse into the current social climate.
